“He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be my son.”
Revelation 21:7
December 31st isn’t usually the day of the year we implement change and think about doing new things. We are supposed to reserve that for tomorrow right? Maybe so, but if you want to really set yourself up for success…
today is the day!
I think we can all agree the the best things in our lives result out of prayer and preparation. So let today be the day you begin to pray and prepare for the best year of your life.
Before we discuss what today is the day to do, let’s discuss what today is the day NOT to do.
👎Today is not the day to eat all the leftover candy and holiday treats so that they will not be in the house tempting you tomorrow.
👎Today is not the day to lay around thinking, “Since I have to start exercising and eating better tomorrow, I am just going to be lazy today.”
👎Today is not the day to have the mindset that my life will change drastically beginning tomorrow, so I better “live it up while I can.”
Your life is all about habits. If you institute any of the above today, they will be the habits you institute on every December 31st from here to eternity. That’s not what today is for.
What is today the day for?
👍Today IS the day to create a new mindset.
👍 One that gets excited about learning to love living a healthy lifestyle.
👍One that yearns for the Word of God everyday.
👍And one that longs to have a positive impact in the lives of your loved ones.
How will you accomplish that?
By spending today in prayer and preparation.
Today is the day that the Lord has made.
Rejoice.
Be glad.
And walk in His love and peace.
Today is the day to get in your prayer chair, prayer closet, or prayer room and write down all the desires of your heart for the new year. Fully expecting that God will begin to move mightily because you know that His word says,
“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalm 37:4
And today is the day you begin to fully embrace the truth of God’s everlasting Word. A word that says,
“He who overcomes shall inherit all things.”
2021 is not likely to be a year without pain and suffering. We will likely struggle in our weight loss journeys. We will likely experience hurt and loss. But you have been promised success. You have been promised victory.
Yes, you have been promised weight loss that lasts forever.
And it doesn’t start tomorrow.
Today is the day!
Let’s Pray.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray,
Amen
